The outer ring uses staggered Walls and Bomb Tower placements to break the initial Balloon pathing, while Spring Traps and Giant Bomb are hidden just beyond the first wall line to shred the Lava Hound’s health as soon as it exits the compartment. Inside the core, a pair of Inferno Tower on single target mode guard the Town Hall and create a tight choke, and a Royal Champion positioned on the edge of the central compartment lures the remaining Balloons into a crossfire from Wizard Tower and Archer Tower. The Grand Warden is tucked behind a Hidden Tesla and a Skeleton Trap to surprise any stray air units that slip the funnel. Air Sweeper units are placed opposite each other to slow the Lava Hound’s approach, giving the Inferno Tower and Scattershot extra ticks before the Balloons can drop. Finally, a few Seeking Air Mine are placed in the outer corners to punish any stray Balloon that tries to bypass the main funnel, while the central X Bow is set to ground mode to conserve fire on any unexpected ground support. This combination of layered air defenses, precise trap placement, and strategic hero positioning makes the base exceptionally resilient against the dominant Lavaloon strategy at TH13.
